Parker School

Located off Brushy Mtn Rd on Trails End Rd, the school was named after a John Parker, representative of Wilkes County School District No4.
A former student visited the school in the Fall of 1945 with her husband who had just returned home from the war, and the building was still standing.
The husband was ringing the old school bell to remind his wife of earlier days, when local people began driving up to see what was wrong. The building
was torn down in 1946.
